Community Forums: Timezone in game listing | Roll20: Online virtual tabletop

So a few weeks ago, the games I was applying for were listed with the time adjusted for my timezone (ex: 17:00 EST) but now they are all listed in GMT -5. It’s a little confusing. Is GMT-5 the same as EST? Anyone know how to modify it?

as far as i am aware the time used in the LFG tool and the game settings is based off of your PC timezone and to some extent the browser.  Example time post was made at 1518 EST. to me your post was 0504 ESt local to me

The problem doesn’t seem to be with my computer but with my tablet and phone.

then i would check the timezone or time display setting or even location settings for those devices. Time is based off of device.

Eastern Standard Time is, indeed, GMT-5 while Eastern Daylight Time is GMT-4 -- if only for purposes of determining time offsets.  The timezone is drawn from your device.
