Dark Heresy Interest Check

Greetings all, it’s been about three years since my regular Dark Heresy group disbanded. I absolutely love the setting and I’ve been thinking about returning to it, but I know it's been some years since the 40k tabletop setting peaked. So, this topic is to see if there are enough people out there that want to be a part of a dedicated, long-term campaign. ~ Dark Heresy 1st Edition (Might be open to trying out 2nd Edition if that’s the group consensus, but I have almost all the 1st Edition fluff and that’s where all my experience is.) ~ 3 hour sessions bi-weekly on (CST) Sunday nights. First session sometime in December. ~ Role-playing encouraged, power-gaming discouraged. ~ Voice and Webcam sessions, newbies to the universe more than welcome as I try to run a very supportive and lighthearted atmosphere. Any questions, let me know!

I'm interested. I even have a couple of character ideas already. The main question I have right now though is what character gen/house rules will we used, if any?

Hey Sam, thanks for the reply. I haven't given any thought yet as to Character Gen rules for this campaign; but unless you can think of anything I tend to go 'by-the-book'. Core Rulebook + Insquisitor's Handbook was the standard when I ran my campaign last time and I can't imagine its changed since then, but if you want to run a character type that was introduced in the other books, let me know.
Fair enough. For my character concept, I was thinking of a Noble Born/Schola Progenium Arbitrator. Her family ruled a planet until a heretical uprising overthrew them, leaving her as the sole survivor. Naturally, she ended up in the Schola Progenium, where she became determined to train to root out heresy and sedition in all its forms. In other words, Anastasia Romanov with a shotgun.
I'd love to do that! Do you have interest in any of the other 40k RPG books?
Sounds great, Sam. Its always awesome when people have a good idea going in what kind of character they want to play. Bryan, I honestly never got into the other 40k books. I gave Rogue Trader and Only War a look after I had run Dark Heresy for awhile, but I love the intrigue the Dark Heresy setting provides while making combat an incredibly dangerous affair. I've gotten enough interest now that I'll create a game in the roll20 system and start accepting applications so we can start getting an idea of what kind group we are going to have. I'll post the link up on here later tonight.
Hallo hallo, just dropping in to tell you I'd be interested. No previous experience with Dark Heresy but I've been meaning to find a group to dive into it for some time now.
Would be happy to have you, Sightless! https://app.roll20.net/lfg/listing/96674/dark-here...

Hey guys! I'm in the same boat as Sightless. Got hold of the manuals quite recently and have been leafing through. Would be up for giving it a go. Edit - just seen that you'll be playing at 2 am GMT. As I'm in the UK, that won't really work for me. Have fun though!
We need one more person, as someone dropped out before our first session. If anyone is interested, drop a message: We have a Tech-Priest, Guardsman, and Arbitrator so far. Our first session is Sunday evening 8pm CST, approximately 3 hours. Also it plans on being a long term campaign with bi-weekly sessions.
