Okay, so I am relatively experienced with Roll20 and its character sheets but I've run into a little snag. I was setting up my spells for my character and all was going well until I tested Ice Knife. With spells like acid splash, Ray of Frost and Witch Bolt, selecting the output as Attack worked fine. I got the range, attack rolls, saves and damage to appear and by turning spell descriptions on, I was even able to relate the side effects and little details of each spell. Ice Knife is different from the rest I have tried. Ice Knife starts as a ranged attack that deals 1d10 piercing damage if it hits. However, hit or miss, the spell explodes into an AOE dealing 2d6 cold damage to the target and each creature within 5 feet of it unless they pass a dex save. But when I tested Ice Knife, all I got was the attack roll, range, and description. For some reason, I cannot get the damage (initial or secondary) or the save to show up in chat. I thought it was because of the secondary damage or perhaps because I had to input an attack and save so I tried splitting it, but it still refuses to show damage or saves. Does anyone have any advice for me? I have tried deleting the spell and filling it out again, but I get the same result. Even selecting the shortcut in attacks on my Core page is bugged this way. To clarify, I filled out the attack card as: Output: Attack Spell attack: Ranged Damage: 1d10 Type: Piercing Damge2: 2d6 Type: Cold Saving Throw: Dex Effect: Negates secondary damage.
