I GM a 5e game where one of my players has a lantern which sheds light in all directions (bright-light out 15 ft. and dim-light out an additional 15 ft.), the player can also lower the hood on the lantern, focusing the light into a 90 degree cone but also doubling it's range (30 ft. bright and 30 ft. dim). I used TokenMod to set macros for the player to freely swap between the 3 states (Off, On, and Hooded). When double checking the lighting from the player's perspective everything seemed to work smoothly. Later when checking a different token I noticed that while set to the "Hooded" state the controlling player's vision was limited to 90 degrees (as intended), but other players saw it as a full circle of light. Most of the other PC's have darkvision so it isn't the end of the world but would really prefer it if all players saw this one light as directed by the controller and not just an omni-directional spot. what the controlling player sees vs what his non-darkvision friend standing next to him sees Is it possible to limit the angle of "All players see light" option, either with default options or an existing API floating around somewhere?
