hi paul, i recently started a campaign about 2 weeks ago using 3e with a bit of house rules from 2e (what i played as a kid). We have 3 people, 2 brothers and a 16 year old i met on leauge of legends, hes mature though, for the most part. Fri/Sat nights and *MAYBE* other times during the week would be the play times. this is my first time DMing in a long long time, i did it a bit in the past. so far it seems to be going rather fun, though a bit of screwing around at the start kinda fucked things up. i dont mind explaining things in the roll 20 call, this is the 16 year olds first time playing dnd ever. he knows nothing of orcs or dragons or planes or anything. Group comp right now is Druid, Wizard, Barbarian. could really use a theif because as a DM i cant decide wether to be unrealistic and throw NO locked doors at them, or just treat game as normal and deny them loot due to lack of a theif. or write in an NPC to play the theif, but as a DM i avoid having a "DM PC" that rolls with the group, if you know what i mean. we could possibly do 5 people ed, though scheduling and group size becomes an issue i think with turns taking amazing lengths of time as each gets their turn to talk.
