With Valencia unhappy about the moon boy's presence in her home and the other two girls concerned that they need rest before their big espionage attempt, they try unsuccessfully to communicate with the creature, but it seems to be repeatedly distracted by light sources, plastering itself to the television or reaching for ceiling lamps.  Helena eventually realizes that it might be trying to return home and, after the moon boy reaches for the sky and moans, they decide she must be right.  Issy isn't sure if there might be some kind of magic spell to return a person to the moon and Valencia wants to know how it got here in the first place, but Helena concentrates and manages to pull at the indistinct fabric of space to launch the little creature directly home as a shining silver comet.  Everyone is extremely impressed, but when even Helena herself can't quite explain how she did it, they decide to just get some sleep. The ladies spend all day in concentrated effort to get ready for their roles, including setting up a code phrase, "Peach Fandango", to use in case things go wrong, before Helena heads off to the senator's party two hours early as part of her role as an inconspicuous waitress.  She infiltrates the rest of the staff handily, even though she accidentally gives them her real name, and manages to position herself by the time the distinguished guests start arriving.  Once Valencia and Issy arrive, they cause a splash due to how distractingly attractive they are (Valencia especially, who is causing literal traffic jams on the dance floor), and it doesn't take them long to meet Tiberius, a powerful-seeming older man who is hosting the party and seems more than a little interested in them. Their true target is the Florida senator, however, and once she arrives with her husband, Valencia and Issy do their best to get introduced and flirt, which seems to be going well in spite of the fact that they don't have enough privacy to tell if she's actually interested.  They also notice a strange man lurking near the edges of the party, wearing anachronistic leather clothing and seeming to keep a close eye on everyone that goes by, and speculate about who he might be.  Helena tries to get close enough to find information, only for the man to attempt to hire her to bring him information about Valencia and Issy with a five hundred dollar tip; she takes it and confers with them, and they decide to split up, with Issy going to investigate the strange man and Valencia staying on target with the senator.  Helena plans to remain able to help either, but runs across a very strange smell before noticing the drummer in the band behaving oddly, and has no luck, even with the code phrase, getting the other two to hear her out before they split off. Issy tries to casually chat with the strange man, who introduces himself as Count Allario, only for him to say that he has overheard everything they're talking about and knows they're here with an agenda to bother the senator.  Issy is concerned, but through talking realizes that he only cares about making sure the party goes well, which he claims he's in charge of overseeing, and doesn't really care what they're up to as long as they don't cause a fuss.  She tries to pry about his weird presentation, but before she can find out much, he tells her that there's about to be a disturbance in the band, and he hopes that she and her friends will prevent it from becoming a problem.  She warns Helena (who is frustrated, because she already knew that, thanl you very much), but too late - the drummer begins a sudden wild shift in song, and the party is thrown into chaos. The new music is loud and boisterous and exerts a supernatural influence over the party, forcing everyone to dance wildly; only the senator, Helena, and Valencia manage to resist its influence, but Valencia is forced to take the senator's wildly dancing husband off her hands while she goes to get a drink and Issy ends up dancing an antiquated fandarole with the Count.  When Issy takes the Count's hand, she realizes it's freezing cold, and they both roll their eyes after having to confirm he's a vampire due to how cliched it all is (he is no more amused by it than she is). By the time Helena reappears, aggressively trying to serve Peach Fandangos, things have clearly gone entirely off the rails.
