D&D 2nd Edition Ravenloft Game Starting January- Sunday night US Central Time

I'm an experienced DM looking to run a 20 adventure campaign using 2nd Edition AD&D rules. The first part of the campaign will feature the Ravenloft Grand Conjunction campaign written for the original Blackbox. The second half will be the original Against the Giants campaign. There will be a few other classic modules used to flesh out the campaign. Please see the game board for additional information. This game will run on Sunday evenings (every other week) US Central Time. Sessions will probably run about 2 hours. Looking for people that can make the commitment to regularly participate. The campaign will run for most of 2018. For more information, see: Ravenloft: The Grand Conjunction I can be contacted off board at MScherpenberg@gmail.com for additional information.

By default a link such as https://app.roll20.net/campaigns/details/1234567/s ... is only visible to players already in the game, and only Plus and Pro subscribers can make their games visible to the public . The best way to handle this situation is to create a Looking for Group listing ; even if you do not enable it for viewing in the LFG Directory you can share the link with others and have a separate Listing Discussion forum just for those potentially interested in your game. As a bonus, anyone who posts to your game's Listing Discussion forum will have a big blue button by their username and all a GM has to is click 'Invite to Game' and an invitation will be sent their way. I hope this helps, happy gaming! :)
Thanks for the tips. I have only run one game on here and it was by invite only. This is my first public posting.
I would be interested in playing and might have a few other people as well. I've played dnd quite a bit but never played 2e. How many players are you looking for? I know a few who are interested.
I have 6 slots open. I have a personal friend that is interested in joining that has not yet signed up and 3 people that have inquired. As of this moment, no one has actually applied. I know my friend is really wanting a human thief. 2e is different from the later editions mechanics wise. The available races are Human, Half-elf, Elf, Halfling, Dwarf and gnome. Not every race can be every kind of class in this version. I am willing to teach people that have not played before. It will be more of a roleplay based game as opposed to combat intensive. I'd ideally like a group of 4-6 that would include at least one warrior, a cleric, thief and wizard.
Hi to anyone looking to join the game. I am only taking 6 players and have 2 spots still open. Unfortunately, six players is all I'm going to be able to manage so if anyone else wants to join, I encourage you to apply as soon as possible. This will be first-come, first-served and once all the slots are filled, I do not plan to open anymore up unless someone drops out.
One more follow up, the group shared their character ideas and more than likely here's what they are going with: Human thief (Definite) Half-elf Ranger (Probably) Gnome Illusionist (or possibly Human druid) A Dwarf cleric or fighter (hopefully cleric since we need one) We have 2 slots left and I'll probably keep them open til New years. If you want to join, here are a list of suggested characters in the order of what we'll need most. Based on the adventures we'll run, it would be best to have several warriors. Any of the 6 basic races would be acceptable (Human, half-elf, elf, dwarf, gnome, halfling). Your character's race and class combo must be legal. Only multi-class combos listed in the player's handbook will be taken. We're only using the PBH, so no accessory books such as the Tomb of Magic or kits will be used. Fighter (2 fighters would be great) Paladin Bard 2nd Cleric Others will be considered, but I do not want a second single classed thief. If you really want to be a rogue, consider either a bard or a multi-classed mage/thief
i'm intrested could go a bard rogue but i realy like warlocks
Hi there! I have 1+ years of experience in 2E. Wondering what time you're thinking the game will start in CST. Thanks! Interested in playing a barbarian/fighter type. Would need your definition of that since there's so many variances in 2E with barb.
We are looking at 7 PM on Sunday nights Central time. Sessions will be about 2-3 hours. A fighter barbarian type would be awesome. The rest of the group is looking like a half elf ranger, human thief, gnome illusionist & dwarf cleric.
Gerbil said: i'm intrested could go a bard rogue but i realy like warlocks A bard would work well if you are interested. We already have a thief . Second ed. doesn't really offer a warlock type class. That is something that came along in later editions. 2nd Ed. is the edition that was out in the 1990s. Later editions are not compatible with this version. If you have the current set that is in print, then that is 5th edition.
I’m afraid that the start time will interfere with stuff come summer. I hope you find more peeps for your party. Good luck!
Thanks. Take care.
We officially have one opening left. First come, first served. Once the last spot is filled, I will not be able to take on anyone else unless someone drops out of the game.
