Distance displayed when moving

It would be really nice if there was a way, when moving, to have the distance you're going displayed as well, kind of a combination of the select/move and distance tools in one.  That way you wouldn't have to measure, then remember the end point and change tools and select your token and move it to the same point when measuring your movement, you could do it all in one step.
I have to agree with this suggestion. It would also be nice if tokens snapped to grid locations during the move, and the movement path were displayed. This would necessitate some keystroke that could be used to mark a turn during the move, but it would be exceptionally useful. In RPTools it's done by hitting spacebar.
I was just going to comment about how useful it is in RPTools and that my group used it quite a bit, but I came here and discovered the person who replied is my DM.  You already know all of this...

I suspect this recent thread is suggesting the same thing.

kristin i think we get about 5 a month about this
It's not quite the same request as the one Kristin linked to, but similar.  I saw that other thread before posting this, but it wasn't asking for the same thing. * The other thread is talking about showing the path taken when moving a token from one spot to another.  This is very useful even if it's a straight line, but becomes even more important when not moving in a straight line, like when you need to move around a pillar instead of through it, or you need to show that you stayed just out of reach of enemies that might get to attack you when you moved by or something. * This one is about displaying the distance being moved, just like when using the measuring tool.  This is regardless of whether the path is being shown or not.  Essentially a request for an option for the measuring tool and the movement tool to both take place at the same time.
