New player looking for group D&D 5e during Australian friendly hours!

Hey Team, I am old and played original D&D 25 years ago when I was a teenager. Watched some Matt Mercer run games on Youtube, looks like a good time. Now some friends and I are keen to delve back into 5e, this looks interesting although most games here seem to be in US hours ie the morning in Aus time, are there any Australian (GMT+10) friendly games being ran starting around 6pm that accept semi-noobs?

I'm based in Canberra and want to get into a game. I'm happy to bumble through a session or two to work things out

I'm interested in playing and in Melbourne. However I'm still very new to it and want to learn more.

Another kiwi here, experienced with roleplay but not so much D&D; what days/times are y'all thinking of?  If anyone's keen to put together a group that plays sat/sun afternoon/evening I'd love to put my hand up...

I could handle saturday evenings every other week  work sux haha

I'm still interested in being in a group if one is trying to form. 

I'm available for a few hours most afternoons and weekends, I can GM Savage Worlds (still a newb though) but no experience GM'ing with 5e. I do have the D&D Players & DMs guide though so I could start reading them. Does anyone have some free one shots? Maybe I could try and run one of them.

Hey guys, seems there's a few replies here.  So if Bacon is keen is DM maybe we can start a game?  But before we work out a time & day, Bacon do you know how to use the software (I don't) or were you thinking of just having a voice (discord) game?  I have tomb of annihilation if you want to play that. I also have another mate who is keen.

...I'm not really a great GM but I guess that can only improve by running games. Yes I've got a pretty good handle on using Roll20 (for Savage Worlds which Roll20 is not designed for so D&D should be a walk in the park) Downside is that I'm not too familiar with 5E If you don't care about the game system I am well resourced for playing Savage Worlds I have stuff for - Achtung Chuthlu  - The Goon - Fear Agent - Low Life but if you guys are cool with me bumbling with 5E then the more we play the better my knowledge will get. A voice game is fine by me, I found discord to be a little lumpy but if everyone has that installed then we should just go for that. I'm sure I'll get over whatever is was that bugged me about it. So, I like to save my weekends for hard drinking, because my career choices require that I become an alcoholic. My clearest evenings are Tues & Wed. Sundays are doable too. It can take a bit to setup assets so maybe we should start in February I'll need a couple of weeks to set stuff up.  What I'll do is create a D&D game and invite everyone in this thread to it.
