Wikis are not helping me!

I'm seriously brand new to roll20 and I'm trying to set up a game and none of the wikis make any sense to me...I've never used anything like this and I could really use someone who has a few moments to just help me figure this out...I need a roll20 mentor!!

Ok. look towards the top of the page and see the word Games hover over the word and select create new games name your game and select your character sheet (if you are not using a module as the base-some require purchase, others are free) after creating the game, enter the game and start working on your setup. Welcome to Roll20, I always recommend checking out this thread first. It's a great place to start. After that feel free to ask any follow up questions here, the community is awesome and always helpful.
I appreciate the help.... I threw together some maps I had purchased and did my best and then ran into an issue i want to bring up. I linked my baddie tokens to a corresponding character sheet. so for example, the PCs were facing up against 3 pirates and a pirate gunner. Whenever they would do damage to one of the pirates and i would subtract the hp from the one token, it would take away the HP from all of 3 of the pirates linked to the same character. Please tell me there's a way to fix this without having to make separate character sheets for every single baddie i throw at them.

You need to make sure that the health bar for the NPC tokens is not linked to the character sheet. After you unlink the health bar, re-save the token to the character sheet or you'll run into this problem again. The wiki describes how to set up tokens in much better detail.
You want to not link the token's hit points to the sheet's hit points. See the wiki page here: https://wiki.roll20.net/Linking_Tokens_to_Journals and pay attention to the notes about mooks.
I appreciate the help and the links to the correct wikis. I am trying to learn this kind of on the fly due to the lack of time I have available to learn coupled with the pressure from my group to play. We are all very new to roll20 and not playing the old fashioned way.
