In the hotel room, three very exhausted Heroes rest, clean up, and recuperate, and Helena discovers that she has a new talent for knitting bone back together, almost as if by magic.  The girls praise her for this new blessing, and then they get down to business, trying to make sense of all the clues they put together from their brief foray into the gym.  Helena manages to decode the Greek inscription from Issy's skin and figures out not only how the ritual works, but manages to create a reverse-engineered version of it - with mounting excitement, she tells them that if they manage to perform this ritual, they can break the effects of the brainwashing and help repair some of the damage to the moon, perhaps even sealing it so that no new moon creatures can be pulled out of it.  Helena says they'll need more people in order to complete the ritual - the more the better, but at least two besides themselves, and they all have to be women.  Valencia decides that since they haven't seen most of the colossus' cultists' faces, they'll have to make sure to target people who won't overlap with them, and makes a plan to visit local Greek temples in search of little old ladies who might be interested in a rite for the moon. The ladies being making flyers, posters, and other marketing materials to encourage people to show up.  Helena suggests they schedule the ritual for about a week from now, when the moon will be full and the ritual easiest to perform, but Issy isn't willing to wait and let the cult continue to siphon off and murder moon creatures for their rituals, and argues passionately that they perform it as soon as possible.  Posters under their arms, they go to check whether or not the cult has been to their apartment, but instead run into a satyr masquerading as a UPS worker who attempts to kidnap Valencia.  Issy steps in and slaps the satyr soundly, startling him into backing off, and after his innuendos don't work and his attempt to use magical pipe music ends in Issy slapping the instrument out of his hands, he runs away shamefaced, leaving Helena to speculate that he must be related to the problems at the party the other night. With the next night the soonest they can take action, Valencia decides there's no reason for everyone to be bored all night and suggests they go out to a club for lack of anything else to do, but as they drive south toward a place Djimy suggests, they run across a car full of leather-wearing, intimidating-looking men, who flag them down and call across to them on the road that Issy's friend the Count sends his greetings, and warns them not to go that direction lest they get involved in a strange turf war he's currently embroiled in.  Issy is put out and Valencia annoyed, but they turn around after thanking the men (probably vampires, Issy tells everyone) for their warning and start to head north to a different club instead.  Unfortunately, it appears they got the message too late; another car, this one with a formidable-looking woman in it, pulls up beside them so that she can begin calling out to Valencia, pointing to Issy and loudly proclaiming that Valencia's "servant" is a troublemaker.  The girls take offense and the woman attacks them with a horrifying prehensile tongue, but Valencia is furious and intimidates the woman so thoroughly, claiming she has earned the wrath of the Rose of Miami, that she backs off long enough for Helena to floor it and help them escape.  Shaken and upset, the three girls comfort each other and heal Issy's injuries, and Valencia decides she's had about enough of this and they're all heading to the Count's address to get an explanation for what, exactly, is going on here. As they drive toward the Count's place, however, Helena is distracted when they pass a local temple and she sees evidence of a huge amount of sacred energy being put off, as if a huge portal to the moon were opening above it.  They pull over to investigate, learning that this is a temple to Hekate and that its worshipers, led by the high priestess Hermione, have also noticed the injury to the moon and have been trying to call upon their patron's connection to the moon to help repair it, although so far they have only succeeded in funneling general energy toward it.  Helena attempts to secretly prowl the temple for clues while Valencia and Issy wait for the masked worshipers to disperse and enter to try to talk to Hermione; however, their cover is almost instantly blown when the after-effects of the ritual cause Issy to lift off the ground, spiraling up toward the roof in the silvery moonlight.  Valencia manages to grab hold of her and keep her from flying away, and Hermione is extremely interested to find out why Issy seems to be being called up toward the very moon they've been trying to save. Since Hermione already knows something is happening, Valencia decides to put all their cards on the table and tells Hermione that they know about the problems with the moon and its creatures, and have come up with a ritual to help fix it, which Hermione looks over and agrees would probably work.  She agrees to bring her congregation so they have enough people to perform the ritual if the ladies will find some of the moon creatures to help provide a focus for the ritual, hopefully rescuing and returning them all to the moon in the process.  Valencia agrees to the deal as well and they leave hopeful, but she remains suspicious, because Hermione seems to be just a little too interested in Issy...
