His father's entire family were sorcerers, so it was expected that Sai would have magic talent as well, but he did not. His elven family gave up on him and cast him out as a failure and disgrace, he  became depressed due to the neglect and feeling worthless. One night Sai had a dream in which a weapon came to him and spoke, promising him the power that was his birthright. It would give Sai a purpose for seemingly no cost. He accepted. Now he goes by the name Jack Sabre and is wandering the world searching for adventure and still trying to figure out his purpose.
