Using monsters from purchased content in homebrew campaign

Hi, Sorry if this has been asked and I missed the post.  Some of the pre-made campaigns (Hoard of the Dragon Queen) have custom npc's, monsters, and items.  If I purchase them, is there a way to use those monsters and npc's in a custom campaign?  I know when purchasing the MM I can drag and drop from it to the custom campaign, but I wasn't sure about using monsters and npc's from the pre-mades the same way? You can!  It’s not quite as easy as using the monster manual, but still very doable.  The process is thus: • Create a game with a given Module from which you want to use the characters (monsters, box’s, etc). • Use the Character Vault (Plus/Pro Subscriber Perk) to put the selected characters in your Vault.  • Use the Character Vault to export the character to the game where you want to use them.
