Virtual raised hand - indication that someone is waiting to talk

Heya folks - As I'm sure a lot of people know, one of the problems with virtual meetings of any sort is that we don't have the same visual and other conversational queues about waiting to talk, so you end up with awkward pauses to give people a chance to chime in, or people talking over one another. I have been on webinars where participants have a "raise hand" button to indicate to the speaker that they would like to say something. In my limited experience with Roll20, I suppose people could toss a token on the map or roll a die to indicate that they want to say something after the current speaker is done, or type something in the chat window, but I'm wondering if there's a better way, and how other folks handle it. To me the ideal would be a button someone could press that would highlight or put an indicator on their avatar display to show they're waiting. If there isn't already something good, how many other folks would be interested in suggesting such a thing to the developers? Or maybe it's already doable with the available API; admittedly, I haven't dug into that yet. Thanks!
I suppose you could make a card deck with the card back being a nice image of a hand or what ever - and a player could draw a card into their deck, which would then display that had over their avatar.
