Unable to draw on board using Surface Pro 4?

Whenever I attempt to draw a stroke on the board using the stylus of my Surface Pro 4, the " + " reticle which indicates the pen tool is working disappears and nothing is drawn onto the map. This problem doesn't seem to occur when I tap quickly, allowing me to create dots on the map, but that's no substitute for being able to map make and edit on the fly using the pen tool. I don't encounter this issue when simply clicking and dragging while using the touchpad, but that doesn't offer the accuracy I'm looking for, either. I'm unsure where the issue here lies. Any help or ideas where it all went wrong? I'm running Windows 10 on the browser Google Chrome.

The short answer is that it does not work. The freehand drawing tool only works with the mouse.
Ah, that's too bad. But thanks for the help!

Actually it did work some months ago, when I was building my latest adventure. I used it to make handwritten notes in the GM layer. Unfortunatelly I don't know why it isn't working anymore. I suspect that an update for windows changed something in the pen's behavior. Edit: After some research i found that the reason behind this, is windows fall creator update. Seems that many people are pissed because of the pen's new behavior.
Thank you so much!! I thought it was just me-- I remembered being able to use it to doodle on the board just fine in the past. I'm looking around for a workaround or option to change the functionality again, would you happen to be aware of any (if it exists)?
