Never any good details?

I dont get why the majority of DMs LFM dont put the basic info of their game. I rarely see what level youre starting off at, what book restrictions there are, ect. Why is this info so hard to find!?
Tim I don't think this is the place to put it, maybe in the Off Topic thread?
Cool story bro, tell me another

I'll put this in the proper forum. Moving to On-Topic.
simple answer: lots of people are unmotivated.
When there's no level given I usually assume level 1 unless there's anything to say otherwise. No books usually means everything goes. What I find annoying is that some people don't say WHEN they want to play the game, or if it will be played via voice or text. I had a lot of games that looked nice just to learn later that it was planned to be a text only game.
I think a lot of DMs just simply don't know what they are getting into. They is a lot to be responsible for, and a lot of work, even if you are running a premade campaign. If you find that you dislike how other DMs are handling things, then perhaps being a DM is your destiny!

A lot of games being listed now are from people new to GMing and/or to online gaming / roll20. They don't realize what type and how much info is needed. This sometimes puts the asking questions more in the forefront then before. General rule of thumb I tend to use is "Dont see the info I want to know then I ask for it." Gripeing about doesn't do anything but helping them learn what is needed will. Old saying: "Give a man a fish and he will eat but teach a man to fish, he will feed his community".
I feel like we need a "You know what really grinds my gears?" thread. Because what bothers me are GM's that don't make it obvious whether they are going to use Roll20 for their game or play purely from Skype. Because I have had two games where this has happened to me. To me, the point of Roll20 is to use it, not just talk on Skype. But I understand different preferences and all that, but please... if you are going to GM please say whether you are at LEAST going to draw some sort of map on the screen and put out tokens. My god man.
Suggested something based on this: <a href="https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/608701/lfg-add-dropdowns-for-game-voice-mode" rel="nofollow">https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/608701/lfg-add-dropdowns-for-game-voice-mode</a>

When people dont list books, I usually encounter them being more restricting. Ive only met a few DMs in my life that will allow everything, and none of which Ive met thru here.
Oh and sorry for posting this in the wrong thread topics.

I guess I'm one of the few DM's that throw together an entire website, such as this: <a href="http://shadows-of-the-sword-coast.blogspot.com/" rel="nofollow">http://shadows-of-the-sword-coast.blogspot.com/</a>

I tried building an Obsidian Portal site for my campaign, but the players weren't using it. So I just let it go and focused on incorporating the information into Roll20 handouts, etc.
