Looking for a bunch of new friends and players for some AD&D 2nd Edition games... FIRST TIME PLAYERS WELCOME! DATE: Starting March 2nd 2018 MODEL: Long Term Campaign Free form character development and heavy role playing... I like to create game environment that allows the characters to explore freely while the game evolves. 80% Role-playing, 20% Dungeon Crawl. LOCATION: Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting - KoA (Located on the Sword Coast between Waterdeep & Balder's Gate) GAME SUBJECT: Kingdom of Alington The Kingdom Alington is a Bavarian inspired "Living Kingdom Setting" that I created in the heart of the Sword Coast. A "Living Kingdom", is generally a setting were their are endless corners to explore. Living setting tend to have lush culture and an ability to allow characters to have free form development, rather than being railroaded. The game environment allows the characters to explore freely while the game evolves. This provides a perfect environment to have a long term campaign or group. The game is very aware of the Kingdom's Court and its culture. The game is focused on Alington, but the players won't forget they are in Forgotten Realms. NEEDED: 4-6 Players per night. ADVISORY: Adult game and may have explicit content... (Looking for serious players.) TIME & DATE: ONGOING GAME - WEEKLY - Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays @ 5pm PST - 5 hours or longer I will be running games three nights a week. I will be available to run games for whoever is around. Players are not required all three nights. The games will be in the same campaign but may be different games with different players. We will see how many people respond and try to be flexable with the time of the game. XP: I'm pretty generous with giving out experience. I like to see the character gain levels and grow. (I've been doing this a long time and the no player character is going to break my game no matter what level they are...) PREFERRED: New Players with no experience playing AD&D 2nd would be nice. ABOUT ME: I've been running games for 26 years and started GMing in 1991. I've run D&D, AD&D, AD&D 2nd and many other rpgs. I've run many campaign setting in AD&D 2nd, including: Greyhawk, Forgotten Realms, Dragonlance, Spelljammer, Ravenloft, Al-Qadim, Planescape, Oriental Adventures and others. Over the years I have held onto about 500 books and 25 boxed sets, that I felt were worth saving. I would prefer playing at a table rather then in Roll20 but we have to look to the future. I've been on Roll20 since 2014 and jumped in play testing and running some Vampire the Masquerade games and now it's time to get AD&D 2nd going. I must admit it took me a while to embrace Roll20 but after a couple years of testing it, I'm confident I can push Roll20 to the limit and run some fantastic games.
