I recently finished reading the Star Trek Adventures corebook, and I'm really looking forward to running this game. My best friend has agreed to play, but we still need the rest of our crew. Venue: Here on Roll20, using either Google Hangouts or Discord for voice conference (unless somebody cares to show me how to set up Roll20 voice connections). Timeslot: Between my work schedule and my best friend's college schedule, the game would be every 2 weeks, with a session length of 4-5 hours. Our available windows of opportunity are (in New York City's timezone) Mondays 7:30pm-midnight or Tuesdays 2pm-9pm. Start Date: Possibly as early as February 19th / 20th, assuming that players join up by then. System: Star Trek Adventures. Setting: A newly-refitted Excelsior class ship in 2367, just a few weeks after the battle of Wolf 359. Leaving spacedock at a time when Starfleet has 40 fewer ships than they have mission assignments for. Tone: Very much TNG, rather than what came either before or since. One highly versatile starship, equipped to respond to any sort of mission parameters, and whose crew is one and all extraordinarily educated and capable. People who live up to the standard for graduates of Starfleet Academy. PC considerations: All characters will be built together so that players have opportunities to build off each other's input. All should be Starfleet Officers, but they need not be limited to the 8 species in the core rulebook; the rules for modeling other species are very simple, and easily adjudicated. All officer positions aboard ship, including the Captain, are suitable for being PCs, with my best friend planning to be the Ship's Counselor. If anyone is interested, please feel free to ask any questions you might have.
