My game isn't showing anything

My pathfinder game that me and some friends started someone else was hosting but when i joined nothing was there just the fog of war i couldn't see tokens I updated java and adobe flash and restarted my computer ( I had no idea what you ran your processes on so i just updated everything) on nothing happened just the same thing i couldn't see tokens of any kind nothing was there but the fog of war

Are you the GM or a player? If you see nothing but blackness as a player, the most likely answer is that none of the map has been revealed to you. Also, for what it's worth: Roll20 uses JavaScript and HTML5, both of which are tied directly to your browser. I believe Roll20 is optimized for Google Chrome.

Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox to be precise. Safari works for the most part too, though it hasn't been updated yet to accept WebRTC which is Roll20's default HTML5 feature for Voice/Video chat. It sounds like the OP's issue probably is due to what Brian has already mentioned. Noah, if you're a player of this campaign (and not GM/campaign creator), then it sounds like the GM hasn't revealed any portion of the map yet from the Fog of War .

Thanks it was weird but my Google Chrome crashed then the background and tokens appeared, as soon as i loaded back, i was a player, and they had started playing other players guided me though it until the crash then every thing was normal, thanks for your feedback though
