Bakra, Arata, and Valandra go with Urd, Cassius, Rurrick, Ailekk, and Ron towards Green Beauty’s Slumber. Along the Bakra is keeping a low profile. Dressed in a cloak and hood, he rides behind the party with his hand manacled and in chains as Arata and Valandra lead him along on horseback (something he insists upon). His face is covered in rags, and he walks with a very convincing limp. The party crosses the river at an old stone bridge and continues along the way. As they go, they can see the areas around Shambe of Mabub beginning to get martial. The word has been spread, Bakra sent out the word for his clan to be ready for war. With Urd at the helm, they receive no resistance, the 10th child of Bakra and 1st child of Shonn are well known in the local area and is given free reign to move about without question. With a giant mountains looming to the southeast and the north, the party venture through the tall trees and looming forests. Not old, these forests have seen their share of destruction, but still constantly grow and loom forward. In even the lands of civilized orcs, it isn’t uncommon to see the bones of bodies off along the road, or even the occasional bone in the road. Stray dogs are abundant, as are orcish scouting and guard parties. You see few refugees. However, as the party rides towards Filiguug, the closest village to Green Beauty’s Slumber, many do recognize the entire party. After half a day when they reach the village, there is a small crowd following you. Not just orcs, a few humans, half-orcs, even an elf in the area follow behind the party but do not approach. When approached, they send a small half orc child alongside a human teen to offer food, and also thanks for killing Prince Raffolk. In Filiguug, Bakra takes a rest with Arata and Volandra, wishing you all the best. Volandra takes Cassius off for a private moment, while Arata looks to Ailekk and the rest. “I’m sorry what I did to you. To your brother. I will help make this right, I swear by my on my honor.” Arata is muscular and yellowed-skinned. She doesn’t look like people from these realms. With dark hair and deep, large eyes she grins. “I know much of Behyla. I’ve worked for him a several times and know the way in and out of Castle Dravens. We will not fail.” She looks at the group, “Kill the goblin prince, if all works well we should be able to meet up in Wedgh’s Regret or across the Dravens Border. But regardless, the hags and Ruara, do not expect this to go well. I don’t. I think the invasion of Dravens’ Port was just the beginning. I sincerely hope I was wrong.” Filiguug is a small orc village of maybe 500+ people. Bakra, Arata and Vilandra find a place to stay. All around people are becoming armed. You see detachments coming in and out of town. A squad of 30 orcs meet you and say, “We were told by the great Bakra to escort you to Green Beauty’s Slumber.” As you pass through town Rurrick notices a group of a dozen dwarves in an area towards the outskirts of town. Seems they have made a life there. The eldest is a woman maybe 150+ years of age (who should have been put down for treason) working a blacksmith. This small group seem to be a family of 3 generations. Her husband, of maybe 125 years of age is gathering donkeys around their small group of huts and the forge. The group of them see you walk past and all stop, looking at Rurrick. A young dwarf girl runs up from the group, maybe 30 years old (15 in human years), and offers Rurrick some mead for his journey. “Master Rurrick. Fight the good fight.” Then all of the dwarves stretch out their arms into the air holding out five fingers in their left hand, then the index on their right (symbolizing 6 kingdoms). Then they drop the arm on the left, just leaving the one. This was a symbol often used during the insurrection to communicate the Kiernard’s ideal to kill Shrave and unite the realm into one. As you continue, a half orc man is walking behind you all in robes, he has the symbol of bahamut on his chest. Around him are a group of elderly orcs, but also some small children. A human child in their midst yell’s “Praise Bahaumut!” A half-orc man runs from the group in his teens, he runs up to Ailekk and says, “In my youth I lived in old Kiernard.” He gives a sympathetic look at Rurrick. “Undead came upon us, it was the Aarakocra that saved our town. Hail to your people Master Ailekk. I owe your people a debt of honor that cannot be repaid.” He touches Ailekk’s hand then moves away. As you all leave town, the crowd is still following you and the 30 orcs now assigned to guard you. You approached the Green Beauty’s Slumber and the guards take a defensive position around it. All outfitted with great axes and heavy crossbows, they make sure the outside is secure while 10 go inside to make sure the site is safe. A small detachment from the crowd following you approach with a thin rider on horseback, a child behind, and a brawny figure leading them up the way with two figures behind them. The orcs try to halt them but the figure on the horse leans over and speaks a couple words to them and they back off and let them through. They ride up to you, and you see Kalthrini in a hooded cloak with Lindal behind her. Behind the horse Homriz (the one who cleaned Rurrick) and Homguz (the warrior) of the triples are looking at you solemnly. With them is one of your guards from Dravens, named Cecil. There is still the bulky cloaked figure in front, and you feel raindrops on your heads as a storm is passing through. Cecil walks to the front of the group. You notice no one is smiling, except Cecil. He walks up to you all and says, “I don’t know what to say. I had no clue. The best night of my life was just spent in an orc keep under siege by evil, and yet in recent times I’ve never felt so safe. Hussal, Katherine and myself all fought over who would come with you here when we heard of the three sister’s plot to follow, just as they fought amongst themselves who would stay behind.” Cecil stops. He has thinning read hair but a full beard. His skin is patchy red. “We’ve all heard what’s about to happen. We had to come.” Then your hear a growling chuckle, “And so did I big brother!” The bulky figure swaggers up to the Urd, he recognizes it as Kurz, his younger brother, and the 2nd of Shonn’s children. He is dressed in hide armor and is armed with a spear and several handaxes, and looks stout enough. More than that, he looks ready to fight.
