Six days ago, you were handed a letter. Written on fine white paper in a beautiful, curling, hand, that is unfamiliar to you, it requested your presence in one week's time. "Dear friend, it has been far too long since we have spoken, and for that I am truly sorry. I am afraid that time has become short, and I must once again ask for your help. I implore you to put aside what must be your considerable confusion, and meet me in one week's time at the entrance to the ruins of Rauvinwatch Keep, west of Silverymoon. I will await you at the first rising of the sun. I hope that I can count on your assistance, the fate of many might now weigh on your shoulders. Your friend in time, Carris Bellwether." The Silver Cord is a mostly homebrewed game, set vaguely within the Forgotten Realms of fifth edition D&D. I have been running this campaign for most of the past year, but due to other commitments our group has sadly had to disband. I am eager to bring together a new party to explore this story, combining themes of time travel, parallel worlds, and mysterious forces at work behind the scenes. This campaign involves combat and exploration in a variety of locations and times, but it is primarily focused on role-playing with a emphasis on deep character development. I enjoy really writing characters into the story, and I'm happy to work with you on your backgrounds to help tie things together. This is a friendly game, and players will be expected to treat one another respectfully. It is open to players of any gender, belief, or background. Focusing on story, this is probably not the game for rules lawyers and those who require strict adherence to the book at all times. With all the boring stuff out of the way, here's what I'd love to hear about from you. Name: Age: Location/Timezone: Short Bio: Just tell me a little about yourself, no pressure. Proposed Character: Doesn't need to be fully developed, but enough that I know what I'm working with. Experience: I'm open to new players, so long as you're prepared to commit and to learn your class. We will be starting at level 2, so there's plenty of time to get to grips with the game and I'm always happy to help people learn.
