First and foremost here is a link to our roll20 page https://app.roll20.net/lfg/listing/103184/planar-m... Hello all! I'm Raiden and I'm one of the moderators that helps run Planar Marches and hopefully this forum post can help answer some of your preliminary questions about what you can expect when you join Planar Marches. What is Planar Marches? Planar Marches is a West Marches inspired game set in Sigil, the City of Doors, a place that connects to every other plane of the Dungeons and Dragons multiverse. Created with freedom and flexibility in mind, Dungeon Masters will be able to run quests set anywhere in D&D’s vast cosmos, while players can decide to adventure in the darkest of pits, hang out on their favourite settings worlds or delve into yet undiscovered demiplanes, all from the hubworld of Sigil, utilizing its numerous portals, ports and utilities as a unique base of operations. Remember, if there's a way to get there, it can be found in Sigil. Members of the Planar Marches community should expect a mid magic high fantasy setting, where the mundane problems of peasant mud farms are framed under skies filled with Airships bristling with cannons, where Warforged clash with Githyanki on the backs of trains cutting through apocalyptic deserts, and where angels with no gods tend a lonely bar in the back alleys of the City of Doors. Built for 5th Edition Dungeons and Dragons, Planar Marches is creating a large roster of players and Dungeon Masters who can head out into the multiverse and forge their own stories as fast as they can set up and run them. The character creation rules we use are as follows: Rolling for Stats. All players start at third level. You roll until you get at least two 15s. You can distribute stats however you like. If you roll and do not get at least two 15s, you may continue rolling until you do. You can alternatively take whatever you roll regardless if you get two 15s or not. All officially published WOTC material, like Sword Coast Adventurer's Guide, Xanathar's Guide to Everything, and so on is available. We want people to be able to play with the innumerable amount of tools at their disposal. Built to last. I've been in and have personally experienced several West Marches campaigns that always seem to revolve around a point on "And after this amount of time playing we reset the game and start over with new characters", and while that's fine for a lot of people, I like to really invest myself into my characters and the idea of a deadline swinging over my head does a lot to put me off. Our server owner Guile has built this campaign from the ground up with the full intention on no resets, no reboots, play your character and retire your own way . This should give players and DM's alike the peace of mind to have fun at their own pace, especially those who might not even have enough free time to play one character, much less worry about resetting all of the time. We use Discord for voice communications While we'll be playing on Roll20, we do have a community Discord server which we will be using for voice as well as coordinating with others to schedule and set up games. We also have a catalogue of all of our rules, guidelines, accepted UA, handy bots. Our goal is a place where everyone can feel safe, comfortable, and have fun. If you are interested in what you've seen here or would like to know more, please come on down to our Discord server and say hello. Someone will always be around to say hello and help you figure out anything you need.
When I click the Roll20 link it says not authorized. I'm really interested in getting involved with a new campaign with a smaller community with really dedicated players. Let me know how I can join!

By default a link such as https://app.roll20.net/campaigns/details/1234567/s ... is only visible to players already in the game, and only Plus and Pro subscribers can make their games visible to the public , but even then people not in the game can not post to the forums. The best way to handle this situation is to create a Looking for Group listing ; even if you do not enable it for viewing in the LFG Directory you can share the link with others and have a separate Listing Discussion forum just for those potentially interested in your game. As a bonus, anyone who posts to your game's Listing Discussion forum will have a big blue button by their username and all a GM has to is click 'Invite to Game' and an invitation will be sent their way. I hope this helps, happy gaming! :)
