Hello everyone, my name is Snacktavist and I have a question for anyone who may be looking at stuff related to the Spanish Table Top known as Anima: Beyond Fantasy. I have been desperately wanting to partake in a Monster Hunter game for a long time and with my knowledge of Anima and some homebrew I have found a way to bring almost every aspect of Monster Hunter into Anima. The monster carving system of the homebrew book known as Scissura Exxet ( https://community.fantasyflightgames.com/topic/197... ) as well as the use of the reverse initiative system and their custom artifact system has already given me a plethora of ideas. My only problem is as a GM I am fairly new and haven't really run any games for Anima aside for a few that were way too big for me to handle because I was way too excited to start GMing Anima. I'm worried that I'll in some way ruin the experience for my players and I don't wish to do that because these three systems are things I plan on becoming staples in all of my games, even ones that aren't Monster Hunter related. How should I go about doing this? Should I find some friends to run through a game or two with simple designs like a picture in the background and a painted down battle field for combat? Or should I try and throw a game on the Create A Game area and get random people to play with me and see how that goes? Or should I avoid doing homebrew and try to hone my skills in regular Anima? (Even if I plan on using the system in all my games.). Please give me your opinions or maybe even some advice for starting a game, I could really use the help!~ EDIT: I did not realize I posted this in LFG, is there a way to switch it to questions and suggestions?
