Roll 20 hand made maps

Hey guys wanted to share some of my maps that i've created using only roll20 artwork. they are fairly zoomed out but very detailed. This is the ground floor of a castle that i made. complete with detailed outside garden, family grave yard etc. Doesent look like much this zoomed out, but this is a very cool treasure vault. piles of gold and treasures littered on the floor around golden walk ways that lead to a golden coffin. the hoard is surrounded by a glass like wall which seems almost indestructible. they will attempt magic most all will fail. several nasty traps lay in wait here including the 4 giant dragon statues that will billow off a poisonous gas if triggered. u can see i have a hidden dragon rider in the GM layer on the right that will swoop through the large opening in the wall if the alarm is triggered. the top floor of the castle (several in between were not shown) an open topped castle with large stone pillars and banisters.. a priestly alter sits up here with a large stone throne with a far decayed skeleton. a simple tablet of solid gold inscribed in a foreign language glitters ... whats that a custom made airship!? Clouds roll around the castle, no ground to be seen. my custom made airship from roll 20 assets decks 1 and 2 wish you could zoom in on these they are pretty detailed. the lower decks 3 and 4 slave transport and the bombardier/ cargo level I love roll 20 and love creating awesome maps for my players! show me some of yours!
i meant to post this in off topic, sorry :-)
Heh. I'm used to drawing crappy dry-erase maps at the table, the rest is imagination :-) Roll20 would go smoothly if I had a tablet to doodle on.
I hand draw just about well...everything for my games Why? because I'm good at it
very cool drawing. I guess I should have made the title handmade maps using roll20 artwork. I don't really draw anything I just put all the pieces together to make cool maps.
that sounds cool too quoting myself I hand draw just about well...everything for my games Why? because I'm good at it and because there isn't a whole lot of things on the here dealing with civil war to ww1 kind of things
you're right there is quite a lack of modern art work or space fantasy type artwork for DM's that Run those types of games
yes there is partly due to a "semi" lack of interest
You guys should check out google sketchup. It's a relatively simple 3d modeling software, that is free. There is an EXTENSIVE warehouse of user generated content that you can export images of. Tanks, castles, soldier, spaceships. All kinds of cool stuff. I make all of my maps, tokens and placeables for Star Wars with it. Really, check it out.
Oh, and I didn't mean to hijack the thread. Those maps look really great Aaron. Are those all from the free side of things, or have you paid for any objects?
you guys are just great, keep up the roll20 art and sketches. This is what makes this site good, the talented people pushing the envelope past D&D.

Today's maps A small remote village to the south is a large forest that is being culled so tiny that you can barely see anything at this zoom level, but this is a giant in approximately 100x100 made mainly for large RP sessions complete with fighting arena. although a multi level complete this is the ground floor. Another small tavern, this one was built for my Halloween one shot, i got so much use out of it that I have brought it into all of my campaigns. The Gypsies Pipe.. complete with exotic dancers;-) Doesent look like much this far zoomed out this is built on a 300x300 map it is super high def you can Zoom in to traditional player 5' grid squares and walk through the city as if you were there. this map took 8 hours and was built for our city Halloween one shot. with the line of sight dynamic lighting and playing this city at night made for one hell of an adventure.

I've made quite a few maps in roll20. Caverns, dungeons, buildings, et al. Good stuff. Some quite large (200x200) with plans to do a full palace (think 500x500 size)
yeah paul that will be awesome! the castle im working on is a 10 layered thing of all kinds of twists and turns ;-)
Wow, I love the city!
