Recently I have had issues of a static message from the gm (basically the opener for the game each session to remind us what is going on) Repeating and repeating in only my chat log. I have gone through all the steps roll20 recommended and it is still an issue. I have used both the newest/updated version of firefox and chrome. I use AVG and Spybot for my antivirus software. Only extensions I have is adblocker. This has been happening for the past 3 weeks. I have also cleareda ll browsing, caches, and cookies. And It is just me in the gaming groups i game in. image is example that happened in tonights game. This is over a span of 15min.

Looks like some kind of issue with MotD, which is Message Of The Day, an API Script which your GM must have installed. I bet The Aaron (community contributor of that script) will be able to take a look and have a response for this. If it becomes necessary, I can provide the usual Troubleshooting instructions and gather all the info for bug-diagnosing. Likewise any Mod can move this thread to the API Forum if that becomes more fitting. For now I'll mention this to Aaron (the arcane scriptomancer) and encourage you to watch for his reply. Message of the Day sends a player it's message whenever they go from being offline to being online. You must be getting disconnected for a brief enough amount of time that your status changes from online to offline and back to online. I can fix this by tracking the last time that a player was online (this would also let me fix another outstanding bug--the first player to log on doesn't get a message as they change status before the ready event from the API. How long should I wait between showing the Message to a player? I'm thinking 6 hours is a good threshold after which I should show the message again. Ok, did it. MotD v0.2.6 Github: https://github.com/shdwjk/Roll20API/blob/master/Mo... It will now keep track of when the last time it saw a player was. It won't issue them a MotD until it has been at least 6 hours since it last sent it. It will also send to all players that are already logged in when the API starts up, meaning the first person to join will get a message if they need one. Cheers!
