Star Wars API

I am having some issues with adding crew roles and weapons to my vehicle sheet. I have made separate sheets for all of the different kinds of ships, and want to pull data from separate character sheets. On the vehicle sheet, under 'character name', I am inputting the name of the character from the journal on my list of characters. Then I add their role (Gunner, Pilot...etc). Then I skip Dice as this 'should' pull from the character sheet, and use the drop down for skill. Not sure what I am doing wrong here and I have looked everywhere (I think) but I keep getting the error "Can't find character. Please update character, or npc, name field to match sheet character name and try again."

Ah, sorry, I was misunderstanding your question. I'm not sure how that is supposed to work for those sheets.

Just guessing (not familar either...) Do you need to have permission to control all the appropriate sheets?
For crew roles, rather than the NPC gunner button, I believe you need to fill out the character sheet section of the sheet, specifically the attributes you want and the skills you want, which doesn't make it great for minion groups of fighters or whatever.  For example, you want a TIE Ace Pilot rival to pilot a TIE Fighter. You fill out his NPC Sheet section as normal, but you also put in his agility and piloting/gunnery ranks on his Character Sheet section. For minions, it's tough, given the variable skill ranks. Maybe just use manual input for their dice.
