Brighter images

Hi guys, Since the Roll20 crash none of my games have been the same. Whether I'm playing or hosting , my images all have a higher brightness. This is not due to any screen settings because I'm able to have the original picture and the one in game side by side with an obvious difference in brightness. Above is a side by side comparison of the colour differences. I have tried logging in and out, deleting the image and redoing it etc, but none of these things work. Thanks in advance for the help!!

I don't know if this makes a difference, but those are not the same picture.

Does this also happen if you use a different web browser, such as Firefox?

Is there a tint applied to the image in the VTT? Or something with a white aura? Or a transparent overlay with/without tint?

Probably. I'd hazard a guess that some site-specific settings got corrupted when Roll20 crashed. You could try to reset Chrome to defaults https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/3296214?h... which might help. If that doesn't help, there are more aggressive resets that almost certainly will, but you'll want to backup your bookmarks first. In Windows, Chrome keeps its settings in C:\Users\YOUR_USERNAME\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data If you delete this folder, when you next start Chrome, it re-creates it with default settings. No bookmarks, no nothing. If you exported your bookmarks ahead of time, you can re-import them though. Note that if you sign into Chrome with a google account, your bookmarks and installed extensions will be synced with the account. After deleting the above folder, just sign back into Chrome and everything gets restored. I'd still highly recommend backing up anything important manually though, since there are various way in which Chome's Sync can get broken.

If you select the image and hit Z, is it still washed out? If it is, then it’s a browser issue. If it isn’t, it’s an issue with the Roll20 graphic, probably a token defaults or token tint issue.

Check to see if any individual graphic (the image you've got) has a Tint on it: Wiki docs for this, https://wiki.roll20.net/Token_Features#Token_Setti... More importantly if you're seeing this affect on ALL your images, it could be a "Game Default Settings" issue. Wiki docs for this, https://wiki.roll20.net/Game_Settings_Page#Game_De... Check the Game Default Settings to see if there is an automatic white-tint being applied to everything. Change it to the transparency color-square instead. If that's not it, then there could be a Token with a large Aura set, on your Page.
