The party made it back to Tyrnalia and reported back to Lyklor and Cori. For their services the Order of the Phoenix gave them 8 potions of water breathing and an immovable rod. After bardman explained the situation, and mentioned the lizardfolk to the east, Cori said she had someone she’d like them to meet. Cori and Lyklor led the party across town to the Hunter’s District in the east part of town. With wide docks, 15 feet wide, they took some turns and ended up at a 30x30 foot plain looking house built onto the dock, over the swamp. Outside were six well traveled elf guards/hunters with longbows. Cori spoke to them in elvish, saying they had someone to meet their guest. Lyklor was talking to a guard outside about weather, travelers, the trade, and other various local information. The party went inside to see a finely dressed young elf man with no apparent weapons sitting at the table with a hunched over and hooded figure. The building was a single room, plainly decorate, with supplies and some armaments, and enough cots to sleep a dozen people. The elf introduced himself as Diplomat Elpa-Erae Grezor Wyn. His friend ended up being a lizardfolk named Baeshra Irhtos. Baeshra described how the evil lizardfolk tribe, calling themselves the Othokent Kothar (Smart Demons) eradicated his tribe the Argrut Valros (Below Mountain) tribe with the help of a mature black dragon. He admitted that a clutch of eggs from his tribe still survived, and he wanted to retrieve them as they would be the last of his tribe. The party agreed [although they took roughly 90 minutes of game time deciding this]. They asked Cori and Lyklor if they could help. Cori left and came back with 5 potions of acid resistance, as a forward on their job to eliminate the black dragon. The diplomat Elpa-Erae also said his home elf city also had a vested interest in seeing the threat eliminated, and he could send elf troops but it would take several days to get word to his people. The party left, opting to travel on foot without a boat. They approached the last village location of the Argrut Valros, where they encountered 4 lizardfolk shamans, 6 lizardfolk, and a Spirit Naga. The shamans did some damage to Alaise by using heat metal on his armor. Baeshra turned into a giant toad and bit the naga, grappling her and keeping her in place for Helios and Alaise to utterly decimate her. Afterwards, the party searched the village, finding the clutch of eggs had been taken. They also found he skull of the elder. Baeshra knows, it has been enchanted with her own magic. If smashed, will act as a bless spell cast at 6th level (bless effects on up to 8 creatures). Automatically lasts 1 minute, no concentration required.
