Video Game Tiles

Ah, so...maybe this is a little silly, but I have this idea of using tiles and sprites from a video game as my tiles and sprites for mapping and playing in roll20. I'm not having MUCH trouble with sprites, but the tiles have proven to be quite the problem. I am especially interested in final fantasy sprites (FF 1-6), but any leads on a good set of individual tile images from any NES or SNES games would be great. Alternatively, if anyone has any thoughts about this idea, why it might be good or bad, let me know!
This is probably more for 'on topic' than 'Specific Use' since it's not about how to use roll20's features. A general google "NES tile images" comes up with a fair bit. You'll get more accuracy if you specify a particular game.

Moving to On-Topic. Most games from the NES/SNES were working with a very small tile set. I'd recommend after grabbing a sprite sheet tileset (The Spriter's Resource is a good place to check) from one of these games is design the final map with these tiles in a photo editing software like GIMP or Photoshop. Don't try to assemble the scene you want in Roll20. It'll be too many objects sitting on the tabletop.
Thanks to both of you, I certainly appreciate it. I guess I was hoping for some miraculous means of getting the tiles I want with less work, but I think you both make good points, and I'll jsut have to do it as I intended before.

Oh god I love the Chaos Engine. There's a really good mapping tool using the original sprites, let me know if you can't find it and I'll look out the link. What system are you playing?
