I'm not sure if I'm posting this in the wrong section, since most posts here seem to be people wanting others to join their group, but I'll take a gamble anyways. From what I've seen, groups that allow new players need them to have some semblance of what the world is about. But unfortunately I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing. I've gotten the basic rules down though, and I'm not new to making characters (Without traditional sheets) , but when it comes to making a character while keeping in mind what the world is like is proving to be a challenge for me. What I mean is if I want to make a character wouldn't I need a good grasp on their past? The world's conditions would have to reflect their environment wouldn't it? Honestly I could do research into it myself but me being the lazy shmuck I am I don't exactly find digging through wiki articles very appealing. What I'm trying to say is if there's any groups who are willing to accept an absolute scrub and willing to give a run down on whatever the realm's history is then I'd love to hop in. Unless this is pointless and i could have just went in blindly. TL;DR: Help me, I don't know what I'm doing, just add me to your group. I'm on my knees.
