Hello, Anyone here use custom FX in the Special Effects option for spells while using 5e shaped? I can get the Special Effect to work correctly if I use a default FX as a type (beam, bomb, glow etc) But when I enter the name of a custom FX as a type, all I get is the beginning of the explosion effect in fire. No matter what I name the FX or choose for a color, its the beginning of an explosion and the color is fire. Any ideas? I even named the custom FX to be "A" to get rid of spelling errors. EDIT: When I select the custom FX manually, it works as expected.
I get exactly the same result as you, and have asked several people and never received an answer that solves the issue. So I don't use FX anymore unless they are the preprogrammed ones. It's a shame really, but I'm not cool enough to figure it out for myself.

According to https://wiki.roll20.net/Text_Chat#Special_Effects_... the command is the same for both unless I have overlooked something. FX is a Pro feature, though I'm not sure why Lucian and I made it work on the API. Perhaps it can be moved to the sheet...hmm EDIT: right... there is no way to access the token id of a sheet, even with an attached sheet. A name isn't sufficient and relying on @{selected} or @{target} is quite bad. That's why we used the script. https://wiki.roll20.net/API:Utility_Functions#Spec... says "For custom effects, type should be the ID of the custfx object for the custom effect." Perhaps one of the API guys knows more here.
