Cards give token control to all players when played to table

As the title says, cards when played from as tokens are giving control to all players by default. Is there a way to prevent this from happening? It seems like there should be an option somewhere but I cant seem to find one.

Have you messed around with the who can choose cards settings? I'm guessing if you don't want players messing with the tokens, you may need to set the deck of cards up so only the GM can choose cards...?

I had hoped that was the case, but even with it set so only I can draw/choose cards it still lets anyone control it. Unless I'm missing something I don't think that effects who gets to control the tokens.
