Turn Tracker Question

Is it possible to detect when the turn tracker moves to the next turn by using the API and then send a message in chat to all players & GM saying "It is now X's turn." How would I go about doing this?

Yeah, that's pretty much exactly what TurnMarker1 does. And the new CombatTracker. And TrackerJacker.
Which do you recommend? And are they in the API script index on the wiki I don't see any of those on the One-Click install list either that or I'm blind.
TrackerJacker is nice, but the person who wrote it is no longer on Roll 20, so you'd be somewhat on your own for support. TurnMarker1 is The (Mighty) Aaron's script, and is what I use. It plays well with GroupInitiative and has a nice look in the chat window. It just keeps track of who's turn it is (no condition tracking, as TrackerJacker and CombatTracker have) CombatTracker is Robin's script, and works well with his other script, StatusInfo, as well as The Aaron's TokenMod script. It has condition tracking (if you also install StatusInfo), as well as an optional timer. The chat formatting is simple, and the script is clean. I'm considering testing it out in my next session, and see what I and my players prefer. Any one is a good choice, though personally I'd use a script with an active Roll 20 member for support. The Aaron has helped me out of many an API jam in the past, and Robin has been receptive to input as well. My advice would be to try them both out in a test campaign and see which you like better. Totally agree. I'm thinking about trying out CombatTracker myself. =D I like how clean the output is. I might see about sending a pull request to add a few things in that I have in TurnMarker1 and End-of-Life it. Condition tracking is something I've wanted to add, but haven't ever gotten around to. (so busy in Indiana!
I went with TurnTracker1 and it works great. Love the visual detail and how the tokens show up in the chat. Simple. Easy to use. Easy to track. Exactly what I was looking for.

BTW, if you (as the GM) click a token image in chat, it will ping-pull you to the token. =D
Ooo nice. Will it ping-pull just me or all the players as well?

And Players won't see the ping either. It's actually a bug in the sendPing() function, but one that's really handy.
It's not a bug, it's a feature!
I havent tried combat tracker yet but I love trackerjacker. While there is no more support, I havent found any issues with it. I only fear, as roll20 continues to evolve, sheets changes, it will eventually break the API and that is where CombatTracker pulls ahead, since he is an active user atm. I expect him to continue updating, adding more and more feature that will eventually convince me to switch over.

Nover, I'm also on the TrackerJacker bandwagon. I'm happy to make any adjustments to keep it up to date for the community. :)

I use TurnMarker1 (along with GroupInitiative) both The Aaron API scripts. I like the colorful visual cues in chat.
