Hi there! I'm fairly new to tabletop rpg's so this probably doesn't make as much sense as it does in my head. The title pretty much says it all... There's already a few guild out there running games for their members, thing is, there's really no point in it if the guilds aren't able to compete, which is the real fun. The idea is basically to create a "Guild of Guilds" that would include all the guilds in one "world", putting them up against each other. Every once in a while the "Guild of Guilds" would put out some dangerous jobs/missions that need completion, and the successful guild would get points (points that would certainly be used for something, I just don't know what). Appart from that, the guilds themselves could get points by running random dungeons/missions planned by themselves. It would be a good way for new players to actually have a chance to play, and in a way, it would also deal with the lack of DM's. I suppose a good way to keep things balanced would be to start with small guilds. As they get points from the missions they complete they would free more slots for recruiting, however, for every... say 8 people recruited, at least 1 needs to have the ability to DM. Schedules would also stop being such a problem, since there would be a number of different players in the guild, actually willing to play. Obviously, every member of the guild would only be entitled to 1 character (or at least 1 per game system) Is this a stupid idea? Or is it just unmanageable? Cheers!
