The party stopped off at Tyrnalia with Lyklor and Cori, taking 2-3 days to make the trip. Entering the city, people had begun to here of the party between their running off of the cult recruiters and slaying of the dragon, word was beginning to get around. Lyklor and Cori were told as they entered the city that Vazmum Amberfury of Amberfury’s Fine Armor was in town, just south of the ziggurat. The party visited, with a friendly dwarf in a chain shirt meeting them. He sold the party two +2 shields and a +1 shield, he also sold Alaise a steel helmet with dragons wings on each side, apparently his signature piece of armor. The shields all bore the crest of Shevorth upon them. Thokoli informed them that Vazmum was a talented master armorsmith who decided to forsake his duty to Shevorth and become a traveling merchant, he was a disgrace to his family and caste for choosing greed over honor. The party noticed he had the suits of full plate armor, one at the entrance to the tent and two inside. The one outside was a helmed horror and the two inside were animated armors, Vazmum wasn’t without protection. He also commented, when the party mentioned castles, that he had two castles himself, one in the Realm of Copper Keepers and one in the Wyvern Lands of Srofleuh. He also revealed that he would only be in town for another day, but he would be traveling Kaleth for the next month using his helm of teleportation. The party took their leave and went towards the temple. They took a boat north, taking 3 days navigating the swamp before stumbling across a cultist camp complete with the belongings of dead adventurers, a sacrificial altar, 20 some odd tents, and 5 crucified individuals arranged in a circle around the altar. Off to the northeast they could see a ziggurat rising out of the swamp with a bunch of cultists on top yelling and talking to each other. The water around the camp began to shift and rise, as a fireball came hurling out of the top of the ziggarut, annihilating over half of the cultists. As the remaining cultists climbed up the top level of the ziggarut, figures emerged from the temple fighting and slaying the last of them. The party then met an adventuring party, “The Rising Punished.” The party included: Ralxik, Tiefling “Priest” with 6 moving horns coming from her head, leaves water when she walks, is a priest who can’t heal, summons lightning when disturbed, is quite alien and says she comes from deep in the ocean. Is wearing shredded robes. Kimmutal Flintarm, dwarf, splint mail, magical greatsword, longbow. Nafras Uanxar, red dragonborn, splint mail, magical longbow. Vorn, male drow wizard, seems friendly. Ahmid Hihe, heavily covered in desert attire, wizard, has a couple of magic items in pouches. Banli, gnome, plate mail, shield, longsword, seems to be the leader. Kolvet Rodaldu, dark skinned swashbuckler, seems friendly. Bardman healed up Ahmid, Vorn, Banli, and Kolvet. Banli reported they had killed several Yuan-Ti. Banli said that after the Yuan-Ti sacked St. Theodrick’s to the north and destroyed the village next to is, the city Peltragow’s leadership began to feel threatened. They sent two adventuring parties before them that never returned. The Rising Punished were being paid to clear out the temple. After some discussion, the party agreed to remain up top and wait for the party to draw out the remaining Yuan-Ti to help kill them for as much loot as they wanted, except for the looted Order of the Phoenix artifacts which need to be returned to the St. Diandra’s. The party descended into the temple to take on the Yuan-Ti threat, including a “Snake God Incarnate” as described by Vorn and Banli.
