Hello everyone,
I want to start by saying that I'm a huge fan of roll20 so far and will be definitely using it in all my upcoming games. The software is absolutely fantastic and offers a huge range of features while still keeping everything simple. However the one glaring flaw I've encountered is the ability to edit drawn shapes.
My group tends to prefer simplistic or perhaps stylistic maps that are composed of layered vector instead of tiles. These types of maps have the huge benefit of being extremely quick to create but still provide enough detail to give the players a vivid image of where they are.
Roll20 can already draw the type of shapes I use but without the ability to edit drawn shapes it becomes time-consuming and extremely difficulty to fine tune a map. I suggest allowing DM's to see, select and move the specific vertices of what I assume are vector shapes. Being able to select an opacity for the fill colour would also be a huge boon.
As an example, I have attached a map made in (and by it's creators) the mapping tool 'RPG Table' (by codechemistry). It is composed entirely of vector shapes with a fill colour and I think provides a fantastic example of what can be done with even such a drawing tool.
Thankyou for the consideration.
