Hey, all this is a shotgun message - I am looking to run up to 3 more games a week - I have 2 right now. Why Pay to Play? You get a Higher quality game. Players show up on time because they have invested something in the game - and I need groceries.... seriously :-). Anyways read through below - I am open to suggestions for system and adventures, style of game etc. This game is set for Friday nights at 8 pm est. This time is not set in stone. I have several days and time slots available on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. I may also have time slots during the day if you have a group that wants to play. I would like to add 2 more games to my weekly roster. I am looking forward to gaming with you. You will also note at the end of this advertisement that I have a list of games I am conversant in and able to run easily. If you have an interest in one of those games or another game do not hesitate to ask – I still have some game slots open to run additional games. The Curse of Strahd is an excellent campaign and I am looking to accept applications for up to 6 players. The application process is to aid me in learning about you as a player and what it is that you are looking for, I am more than happy to have new players to role playing, roll 20, or D&D. I am looking for players that have an interest in playing the game to its conclusion and beyond. # WHAT I BRING TO THE TABLE **40+ years of gaming experience.** I have personally been playing rpg's since I was 7 years old giving me over 40 years experience. I have worked in the industry doing interior art, game design and adventure writing. I still do a bit of graphics design and create beautiful maps for the games. I have also dabbled a bit in converting and creating top down miniatures. **Solid Game Master Philosophy:** My GM-ing philosophy is simple and a little flexible depending on the system I am running. We are here to have fun. As GM it is my job to present you a credible world in which to interact with. I need to offer the players what they are looking for in a game. I am not there to “win” by killing players. That said players do die and a game where the threat of death or failure, is an exercise in collective story telling and not a game. I will say that I am usually cheering for the players to push the darkness back enough to live another day. **BUT**; I let the dice fall where they may. The characters stand or fall on their own cleverness, fortitude, guile, and resourcefulness. ..* I am Disabled due to a car accident that happened years ago. How is this something I bring to the table – Well I have lots of time to devote to the game! ⋅⋅* Pay to Play: This is a Pay to Play game (disclaimer below). I have found that players that invest money in a game show up and are serious players. This makes for a much better game for everyone. I charge a flat fee for the month rather than a per session fee. Players that pop in and out of games are very disruptive. If I were to run a simple dungeon crawl this would be still not be ideal but for a game like CoS it is a party killer. I can and will offer discounts occasionally. ..* I offer access throughout the week and the ability to roleplay via post using RPOL.net. I find this really helps draw players into the experience. It also allows for time-consuming or player specific events not to take up game time. ..* I tailor my games to fit the players desire. Good parts of role play and combat and problem-solving make for good solid games. # WHAT I ASK OF PLAYERS ..* Application: Include character type preference, type of game you are interested in (mix of rp and combat, combat heavy, rp heavy etc.), Your experience with role play in general, and your overall expectation for the game. - Please PM me with the above information as well anything else you think I may need to know as well. Role-playing is my passion, and I love to entertain and create great stories with my players.** # This game is set for Mature 18+ ⋅⋅* What I mean by Mature: I mean that it is a gritty semi-realistic horror setting with dark themes. I prefer dark games, but there are lines that are not crossed. Most of those things that I don't allow in my game or that I skirt have to do with Sexual assault, and mature content of that nature. Most Storyteller systems – particularly Hunter the Reckoning, Hunter the Vigil, WereWolf the apocalypse and WereWolf the forsaken, Dark Heresy Warhammer 2nd Edition Rpg Castles and Crusades Iron Kingdoms and Hordes rpgs- very good system Scarred Lands 5e and 3e would love to run this Freeport City of adventure (either Pathfinder Hackmaster or 5e) currently running Starfinder I am sure there are others that are just escaping me.
