Knowing that they have little chance of keeping up with Aldonza on foot, the ladies return to Valencia's Bentley in order to race toward the place where the last moon creature made landfall.  Frustrated that they're all still endangering themselves in a hurricane because of what he sees as Issy's obsession with the moon, Rafael gets into a brief spat with her about her insistence on rescuing the moon creatures, and Valencia has to intervene, sharply telling him off for yelling at her friend.  They drive in the direction they think Aldonza went, but the hurricane is beginning in earnest and many obstacles, including fierce wind and rain and downed trees and light poles, keep tripping them up, and Helena takes over driving for several death-defying feats of leaping over roadblocks and slaloming around dangers.  She's mostly successful, but the car takes heavy damage, and they aren't sure how much longer they can last without getting under cover. As they rush through the dark city, they see some of the motorcycle-riding members of Aldonza's cult headed in the other direction, dragging a struggling form in a net behind them.  Afraid that Nin has sent some cronies to recapture Aldonza, the three girls re-direct to chase them, and once they get close enough, Issy leaps from the Bentley onto the net, hoping to free her so that they can all escape.  She manages to rip the net open to reveal that the captured person is not Aldonza but another one of the moon creatures, so she sets to trying to help it escape instead, all at high speed through the pouring storm.  Some of the cultists pull guns and begin shooting at Issy, and an enraged Valencia shoots back (she may not know much about how to use a gun, but she's too angry to care).  Issy frees the moon creature and Helena successfully banishes it home, but Issy gets tangled in the net and is unable to escape, being dragged slowly to death. Even Helena's driving skills seem like they may not be enough to keep up with the motorcycles in a car falling to pieces, but as things look darkest, who should arrive but Uncle Cisqo, swinging down out of the hurricane-torn sky in a helicopter, yelling at them to get aboard.  Valencia, Rafael, Helena, Djimy, and finally a flagging Issy catch hold of the rope ladder and climb up under a hail of bullets, escaping after Helena jumps into the cockpit and begins piloting them to safety in the dangerous gale. The three ladies are panicked, knowing that since that wasn't  Aldonza they have no idea what happened to her, but before they can go try to find her, Helena spots something happening on the ceiling of the gym in the distance.  She takes a few stray bullets just as they get out of range, forcing Issy to leap in and drive after she can't do it anymore, and they swing by to realize that it's Nin, presiding over the cultists in a ritual on the roof in the middle of the storm, no doubt waiting for the delivery of the moon creature that they already saved.  A huge column of lunar energy is pouring out of the sky, fighting with the hurricane, and whatever she's doing, Helena can tell it can't be good for the already damaged moon, and is probably happening because they cut off Nin's access to the moon machine. Deciding they no longer have time to look for Aldonza, the girls in the helicopter buzz the rooftop of the gym, trying to disrupt the ritual.  Valencia makes a dramatic speech from the helicopter, calling on the cultists to look at what they're doing, to see how the cult has been subverted and the worship of Artemis stolen for Nin's purposes, and manages to convince some of them to begin wavering, but her success enrages Nin, who starts trying to find a way to attack the three girls from the roof.  Valencia identifies herself and Issy as the elusive moon princesses, figuring this will lend them legitimacy, and some of the cultists further back off; Nin responds by forcing two of them to "volunteer" to take the place of the sacrifice, weeping as they walk toward the column of lunar energy.  When their calls to resist don't work, Issy leaps out of the helicopter to the roof to physically stop them, loudly insulting Nin for her behavior and making sure the cultists get to safety.  She and Nin begin grappling, drawing ever closer to the beam of energy, while Helena's strength finally gives out and, aware she's going to crash the helicopter, she points it directly at Nin and hits the roof in an explosive burst. As the struggle continues and Nin tries to force the last of the cultists into the beam, a second giant silver shape appears out of it... and resolves into the seaside hunter that the girls previously met and tussled with.  He surveys the situation and then, much to everyone's shock, scolds Nin, telling her that she can't take women away unless they agree and want to go, prompting Valencia to be briefly delighted that she managed to get through to him in spite of the seriousness of the situation. Issy takes advantage of the confusion to shove Nin into the column of light, where she is sucked upward toward the moon like the sacrifices she meant to send.  The hunter greets them but follows soon after, worried about what mischief she might make up there... and the survivors on the rooftop aren't sure if they've succeeded in their quest or caused even more problems.
