Ruminations of a Faerie Knight; Is this it?

♥.:*¨¨*:.♥.:*¨¨*:.♥.:*¨¨*:.♥ Day 11 I finally have it. ... The Ring of Winter. Of course I'm not going to use it, what kind of fool do you take me for? That is not to say the prospect isn't rich with temptation. Were some of the whispered rumours true, there is untold power one might wield should they possess the unwavering will to do so.  Do you think I haven't heard the suggestions whispered in my mind to utterly freeze the Summer Court and seize Titania's throne for myself? I have never entertained any such thoughts prior to now. That is how I know these thoughts do not belong to me. No, of course I haven't spoken of these thoughts, nor shall I. Tell me, how should it look for a Fey Knight to have hints of insurrection, all to usurp her Queen's throne, lingering within her mind? I may be naïve about a great many things, but I most certainly am not an imbecile. I cannot wear the ring in any case, it would inhibit Elidyr's ability to find me. Perhaps he can scry the others, but he'll certainly wonder why he cannot do so for me. That's a scolding I'd like not to hear.  All I wait for now is Elidyr, he promised to be in touch. Especially once I acquired the ring. Given how long it is taking him, I can't help but question if he believed I would be unsuccessful? I certainly hope that is not the case. If he truly thought that, then it means he sent me away just to get rid of me. So this is it. Once I bring this ring to the Summer Queen, my job here is finished. My duty was never to end the Death Curse. Frankly it never concerned me to begin with, it doesn't affect the Feywild. Don't get me wrong, I like Valarith... but he isn't the Feywild. Velverin cares only for the ghosts of his past and Faelon wouldn't know the Feywild if it slapped him in the face, despite his Eladrin roots. I don't know the other two well enough to comment about them, except that one doesn't seem to know a hag when it stares him in the face. So there is no reason for me to remain in the Material plane after I give the ring to the Summer Queen. ... Is there? ~ Drev'nae the Clinquant ♥.:*¨¨*:.♥.:*¨¨*:.♥.:*¨¨*:.♥
Oh you're not getting away from us, that easily. Even if the Feywild kicks us out, Faelon and I will wear it down until it surrenders and then I will be the ruler of all... (enter generic supervillan laugh). Nah, ruler of all is too stressful, too much responsibilities.  .... and then we will just kick the next monster's arse together.
Loved it! Also ^ What he said. The job of Faelon's research assistant has a three month notice period that only begins when Faelon can be bothered to read the resignation letter. I'm sure I don't need to tell you that the last time he visited the pocket dimension used as his mailbox and in-tray was a great many years ago.
Ahahaha!! You guys are amazing. <3 <3
