Grouping Tokens for a Character? Does not seem to work.

My party has a cart with horses, so I tried to create it as a character by dragging 5 tokens, a cart and four horses, grouping them, then assigning that group to the character as the default token. So that fails, it just assigns one of the 5 items as the default token. And worse, if I drag that back to the page, it adds it to the other cart character token. Do I just need to make a custom piece of artwork for the token?
When you select one of the tokens, you should see the blue bounding box/handles surround the entire group. In order to move them as a group, you need to either single click somewhere within the blue bounding box, but not directly on one of the tokens, or double click any of the tokens in the group. Single clicking on just one token allows you to manipulate that token individually.

But I cannot apply a grouped token back to a character? Right? At least it did not work for me. I assume I need to create a new piece of art for the grouped items? Meaning I want to add it as a character I can pull over to other pages.

Could you elaborate on what you mean by "apply a grouped token back to a character," please? You should be able to group any two tokens together. If you're asking how to open their settings (ie get to the bubbles and bars), just hold down the Alt key and single click on the token. Just make sure to deselect the group as a whole first. You can also use Shift+click to select individual tokens in a group if you want to move them independently.
I think (s)he's asking about how to link a grouped token to a journal entry, such that the collection (ie: a rider and his horse and the horse cart and the stuff on the horse cart) can be dragged onto the map and used as a single unit, instead of having to place each item individually. Which I just tried using those exact specifications, and it didn't work... oddly, the default token was just the horse and, when placed on the map with the combination token, was added as part of the group. However, copy/paste does work in this way, so that's something. Just can't link the combination unit to a journal entry. So yeah, I don't think it's gonna work the way you want it to, zewtastic. Sorry. Maybe in a future update.
Would be really nice if it did though.
