Markdown formatting broken? Images don't appear in campaign description...

To my understanding, markdown formatting is supposed to be supported in the campaign description. It looks like some of it is, such as *italicized* and **bolded** words, but when i try to use formatting to include a .png or .jpg, I just get the same string of text I entered to format For example if i try ![]( <a href="http://www.catster.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/08/" rel="nofollow">http://www.catster.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/08/</a>... All i get is the text. No image. I've done a thorough search of this forum and google and have not found an answer. Am i missing something obvious here?

From the Roll20 Team, I saw Phil the Dev has posted a hint that a new Text Editor could be coming soon, which might affect all these text spots (Game description, Handouts, Bio & Info, Forum posts too maybe). Rumored.
