Ron had sent a message to Shonn & Bakkra, letting them know what was going on. Volandra stayed behind in Dravens’ Port to look into seeking passage west into Vemk, but also to make contact with Kalrithni and make sure she knew to stay low key. Rurrick sent the following message to: Nards of Guild’s Town, Thrinegrove Elders, Gravelback Representatives, Zebestra of the Drow, and the Bonehammer Clans/Houses. Signed Rurrick motherfuckin Rurrickshale" Ron stayed behind at Dravens’ Port to mind the mage academy while Ma Thornberry went with the party to Castle Bonehammer via Sir Vatcher’s teleportation spell. They arrived in a basement/dungeon room with dry goods where an old teleportation sigil had been scrawled on the floor. They went out into the castle, and Urd met with some officials to make sure they knew of the upcoming war. As Rurrick, Urd, Cassius, and Ma Thornberry made their way across the planes for 3 days of travel, they saw an increasing number of Aarakocra traveling from the north towards Mount Mabub. By the time they arrived at the Shame of Mabub, they had seen thousands upon thousands of refugees traveling there. Arriving at Sahiva Keep, the mood had changed somewhat with Kaaska and Shonn meeting them upon arrival. Kaaska was wearing a simple robe, and Shonn was being followed by six scribes. She greeted the party with Ma Thornberry introducing herself and having Homgiz and Homguz volunteer to show her around and introduce her to everyone. The party entered Shonn’s infirmary room where she laid both hands on Ailekk’s shoulders, Kaaska approached and held Ailekk’s hand, Rurrick took out Ailekk’s feather and held it, while Urd and Cassius took Ailekk’s javelin of lightning and placed it on his chest. After some time, Ailekk awakened, being brought back to life. Kaaska greeted his brother, Ailekk thanked Shonn, and she mentioned him thanking Urd. To go see why she said they should go to one of the towers and look east. The party did, and could see over ten thousand Aarakocra on Shame of Mabub, now landing and setting up camp. Ailekk thanked Urd. Bakkra called the party into his chamber for a toast, then got assurances from them that they were going to help in the war effort. Homguz and Homgiz begged Shonn to let them return with Ma Thornberry to Dravens’ Port to join the Royal Mage Academy, to which she reluctantly agreed after Ailekk spoke out on Ma’s behalf. Shonn sent with the party an updated map of enemy troop movements to deliver to Breschka. The party returned, interrupting Ron’s afternoon nap. Ron told the party that Guild’s Town had been attacked by green dragons shortly after they left (or maybe before but word wasn’t sent out immediately). Many/most humans died in the initial attack, with the Nards killing several green dragons defending themselves. However, then the Yuan’Ti took action and took control of the city. All able inhabitants then fled. At the same time, Jamesyth (local crime lord) has apparently issued a command from Queen Lightcrown that every nard head and to quote ‘thanks to Rurrick Rurrickshale’ is worth 100 gold. Every Nard head of a young nard is worth 200 gold. Every living child nard taken to Dree and sold into slavery is worth 300 gold by order of the recently deceased Lord Nivicras and backed by the coin of Queen Lightcrown herself in homage to her recently dead ally, friend, and commander. While this caused an influx of Nard refugees, the children and elderly being invited into the castle, Arieth took this as an opportunity to set up nard recruiting stations for the military. Over the days, Rurrick scryed on several people but was only able to scry on his bear family who seemed to be doing just fine at the time. Urd had Ron send the message to Biff, “Urd. Situation in Dree? Plan? Where does Jendra stand. Who supports Lightcrown. Behyla betrayed Bonehammer. allied with Dree. know which faction?” Biff’s response was, “Not sure, more need info on faction. Things hectic. Concern Corrive will invade. Jendra will send undead to war as needed. Dragon Knights more defensive.” Rurrick went to go confront Arkval, the Guild Master of Guild’s Town’s Mage Guild who had now been relocated to Dravens’ Port after their home became inhospitable. Set up in a lower section of the southeast tower, he had a pocket dimension set up to resemble their old guild. The winged tiefling seemed pretty upset with the party and Rurrick in particular. He returned the sending stone saying that the other piece was in the hands of Queen Lightcrown [the last time he checked]. Ron tried to barter trade with Arkval who was unimpressed and showed off his own magic after Ron turned himself into Arkval using disguise self, Arkval turned all of the apprentices in the main chamber to look like Rons. He told Ron to, “Go learn spells from that dirty hobbit who calls herself the Royal Master Wizard.” Rurrick took offense calling Ma Thornberry a “National treasure”, and Arkval turned him into a quipper. The party left, with Ron holding the fish and then, knowledgeable of the polymorph spell, bashed his head on the wall outside in the corridor bringing back Rurrick. The military situations seems to be that Dree’s troops are spread out across their lands, but are starting to move towards their borders. Bonehammer seems well defended, and is moving towards the front. Dravens has 100k Shevorth troops along the Kiernard mountain border, 100k Indra troops in the west and 100k Sehe troops and ships coming from the south. Volandra found passage back west, made contact with Kalrithni, and also discovered that Prince Raffolk's remains had been found and taken back to Dree while everything was going down. Battle map:
