How to use a character sheet without making a game first

Is there a way to make a character with a character sheet on this sute without making a game. I want to have the sheet just so I can join a game so I ca learn the basics. I kniw this might be dumb question but i am a complete noob just trying learn the game and my way around the site

You cannot create a character without being in a game, however you can easily create a game with just you in in the game and then play around with creating character sheets.  This is an excellent way of learning the ropes and you really can't break anything, I promise :)

If you create a character, don't forget that you can store a copy of it in the character vault.

But to export the character to a  game/campaign the GM who made it must be Pro user.

It's still good to store some of your characters in the vaults, as if a game/campaign is deleted, so is the characters.
