Bad Dice Roller

I play on here in two games, both AD&D 1st/2nd Ed. On one of the games, we rolled 16 times (to hit, 1d20) and NONE of us broke a roll of 10. In the second game, we are experiencing similar low rolls. Of 6 to hit rolls the highest I got was a 12. The other players were also experiencing low rolls. It seems after several gaming sessions, we always experience a spate of very low rolls when attacking, then the better rolls finally come about after about 16 to 20 attempts, but always start with the DM getting the better rolls first. Using the honor system and rolling regular dice, the trend is generally much higher. It is to the point that all of the gamers in both games and the DMs agree that the roll20 dice roller is biased to roll very low, particularly in the beginning of a session. Has anyone else experienced this? I'd think it is just me except all the gamers in both games are experiencing it.

Why do we always remember the low rolls. ;-P I feel your pain. This has been brought up many, many, times on roll20. AFAIK, no one has proven a pattern of hi/low rolls. Every time you roll the dice, all things equal, your chances are exactly the same as the last roll. Sad truth; the dice don't care what you rolled in the past. ;-( You can read about roll20 dice engine on the wiki https://wiki.roll20.net/QuantumRoll and you can view the latest stats on all roll20's d20 rolls here: https://app.roll20.net/home/quantum Quick roll test you can try by Ziechael : https://app.roll20.net/forum/permalink/6199641/
