New to GMing on Roll20. Any Fate Resources, Tips, or Tricks?

Hey guys, I'm in the preliminary stages of playing a game that I plan to start running in mid-July at the earliest. While I have GM'd a bunch of Fate in the past, I've never run a game on Roll20. Now, I've found the tutorial that should help me with the basics of running things, but are there any resources or tips specific to FATE that would be helpful? Thanks in advance!

Someone wrote a tipsheet on Fate Accelerated Edition on Roll20: https://wiki.roll20.net/Running_Fate_Accelerated_o... Nathan H. (aka treetrnk) sets up templates with tokens to show the circulation of Fate Points to and from players, and Aspects are laid down as tokens as well. You can also draw a map in the middle but Fate is generally not map-heavy. It is important to keep track of all Aspects and Boosts in play, so this is a great system. He offered other game-aids. https://rpg.nathanhare.net/2017/04/21/fate-roll20 http://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/201566/Fate-Scenario-Worksheet http://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/204653/Fate-PC-Tracker?manufacturers_id=10796

...If you haven't already, also take the Roll20 Tutorial. You touch the Games column up top and click "Tutorial". A fake "game" starts up with the intention of showing you all the Roll20 features. It runs for about an hour and, if you complete it all, you get the coveted "mortarboard" symbol in your profile.
Thank you so much for those posts! I'm definitely going to use those resources. I do have another question. Gear and Ship Components have to potential to maximize a die (turn one die into a +) or minimize a die (turn one die into a -), how do I get the dice to do that? The Dice GUI portion of the tutorial didn't seem to explain that.

Is this a rule from a specific World Book? You could set up a Macro where only 3 Fate dice are rolled instead of 4, and add or subtract 1 because one of your dice is fore-ordained to be that value. So one Macro is /r 3df+1+(Skill or other modifiers such as Boosts) and the other Macro is /r 3df-1+(Skill or other modifiers such as Boosts) A few years ago I went nuts with techniques for Fate Macro formulas (first started by Nick T., my first Fate GM), where I had to click a particular Token first, but these techniques have been superseded by in-sheet rolls on the Fate character sheet: https://wiki.roll20.net/Fate_Core You can also write dice-rolls in an in-line form with double square-brackets: "The roll: [[3df+1+?{Skill?|0}]]" It pauses to ask you for a Skill level (if you enter nothing, it defaults to 0) and displays one number. To get the breakdown, you have to touch that number with your mouse.

Thanks, that's very helpful! Yes, the rule is from the Tachyon Squadron World Book. It's currently on Kickstarter.
