Hey! I'm looking for a couple (2-3) players to run a one-shot for this evening at around 7pm EST. I'm somewhat experienced in DMing, having DMed a lot of 3.5 and Pathfinder, but am fairly new to 5e and am looking to gain some experience ahead of a campaign I'm running for a couple of friends of mine. Timezone: Eastern Setting/Campaign: 5e - Homebrew DM
focus (exploration, sandbox, questing, etc): Questing. Dungeon-delving.
Nothing too dire or serious but still a legitimate session. Stats/Supplements: We'd be starting out with level 3 characters. We'll
be rolling for stats (4d6 drop the lowest). All official WOTC material
is allowed, but no Unearthed Arcana. I'm hoping to get a party of 4
assembled but I don't know how realistic that'd be given the time. DM me
if you have any questions or are interested! Something
about yourself: I'm a somewhat experienced DM. I DMed 3.5 and pathfinder for a
long time before switching to 5e. I'm looking to get some more experience in
5e and work a bit on my pacing. In order to do that I plan on trying to DM as much as possible now that I have some time in
order to better my NPCs and storytelling, since they've always been the
most important thing to me in a campaign. I don't really do any voices
or anything of the sort since I'm awful at them haha. I just sort of let
the conversation play out, giving the NPCs flavor through their words
and actions. Anything you
wanna add: Mainly looking for someone chill. Someone looking to kill an
afternoon just kinda messing around in a one-shot DnD setting. In addition I want to try and meet some new people! DnD is kind of time intensive so it can be tough meeting people to play with every week. This could be a good chance to meet some interesting people and might be the start of something cool!
