Twitch Chat Roll Integration

My roommates and I are streaming a Fate game next week on Twitch and I couldn't find any information on if a roll in Roll20 could also show up in Twitch chat or as an alert on the stream. This would either be an OBS or a Twitch chat API thingamagig I'm assuming. I personally don't have much experience with Roll20's technical side, I'm usually just a player. Curious if anyone out there knows of a plug-in or such I can start looking into. Thanks!!

Hi Twylark. We don't have that feature yet. I think it might be called Webhooks for chat integrations? Anyway. For now the way people generally show the Dice and Roll20 Chat on streams is by capturing the Roll20 window in your browser, with your OBS. It shows the Roll20 chat graphically in the video stream, not programmatically in the Twitch chat though. Wiki docs with some info, https://wiki.roll20.net/Live_Stream_and_Record_Gam...
I'm interested in this as well. Could either be poll of twitch api/irc, or better a push from external service to roll20 api. Anything I can do to contribute to dev effort of such a feature?
A push from an external service to roll20? Wouldn't it be the other way around for capturing (visually or programmatically)? Just curious of your train of thought @thomasmckay, I know very little when it comes to actual development.
I'm live on twitch right now trying out _nightmare_ integration. Note that I'm not a streamer, I do software! Give me a follow to know when I go live next to show updates. It's working very well, to be honest, and I have high hopes that this can be a real thing. https://www.twitch.tv/pintandpie
I have been mostly thinking of twitch chat into roll20, but it is an interesting aspect to have roll20 chat output inserted into twitch chat itself. Let me know what you are thinking in this regard and I can try to incorporate it into my work.
Streaming again now. Stop by to poke at things and give feedback.

On board and testing this with thomas. It's neat. It's real. Requires techiness at this point. He's making steady improvements. I can attest that it genuinely works.
I'd say the primary limiting factor is that there is no API endpoint to the chat window. The API would only need to "type in the window as the user authenticated to it". Having to run nightmare to bridge to a browser html widget is not going to work for non-geeky streamers. Overall, though, it's very functional. Next step will be to try to host a roll20 game of some sort with a few viewers that can interact/play. Big thanks to @GOLD for feedback and roll20 insights. Very useful!
To see what could be possible with a few tweaks to the API, watch a popular stream play "Dead Cells" game with twitch chat integration. Then imagine your viewers are rolling for some of the NPCs in your campaign's battles. That's what my imagination is filled with! Message me if you're interested in helping me test what is working now. Include your timezone and some suggestions of an hour slot when we might coordinate on twitch. Following. Central Time USA, good for Monday afternoons, or test it with a live game Thursday night or Sunday.
