Note; we believe this data to be captured after we repelled the enemy forces at the Karbarren village, almost a week ago. Data captured includes Video, audio and "sensory data". Supposition being that the masters can monitor emotional states in real time, possibly to manipulate their citizens? Debriefing session before the Senate; The Robotech Masters
struggle to understand how their reconnaissance
and subjugation forces were so utterly defeated in battle at the Karbarren
Viking village.
“Centurion, the senate awaits your debrief. Though one might
suspect, given your dress and bearing, that the Legions plan of attack did not
play out correctly?” Senator and Grand Master, Titus Nigidius Sollemnis gestured theatrically.
Centurion Gaius , the lone
survivor from the failed subjugation
force, winced in pain and mentally suppressed the lancing
pain radiating spasmodically from his shoulder and ribs.Approaching the speaker’s dais, each step he
took was agony. The stimulants he had procured from one of the clone masters
for earlier, might just provide the edge he required to avoid genetic
decommissioning. However, Gaius was
no fool, the senate was a snake pit. A poorly timed comment, a mis phrased
reply and the Senators would tear him apart. It was abundantly clear that the senate desperate needed of a scape
goat.
Gaius took care
to begin the formal greetings and theatrical gesturing required
to appease the delicate personalities of those to the Senate members present,
before being cut short by the Grand Master.
“Very well, what do we know of the enemy forces thus far?” Grand
Master Titus enquire briskly.
“It is difficult to be exact my lord, but if would appear
that the enemy forces are Micronian. The same species that engaged our forces a
year ago. If I might present combat images, captured by our Optiofor your inspection my esteemed Lords?”
Gaius offered.“It is surprising that a race so primitive would be capable of
interstellar travel let alone…”
“WE DO NOT SPECULATE!” Titus ,
declared harshly. “You shall present factual, concise, information to the
council only. We, your Elders, shall study every facet of this information and chart
the appropriate course of action for our people.”
“Now, of their forces on planet. What of their number,
combat effectiveness and leadership?” The elder demanded. With deft strokes of
withered fingers, holographic analytic graphs materialized at each of the
triumvid council hover platforms. Evidently the question was rhetorical.
“My esteemed lords, the data at hand follows. All evidence indicates that Micronian forces
made planet fall, amongst or utilizing the recent meteor shower in sector 37. Initial indications were that these were
Karbarren forces, due to the construction and vessels. In total 8 vessels breached the atmosphere,
they then proceeded to the geographic locations noted on this map.” His
patronizing tone and body language, chosen to demonstrate his superiority and
positioning over the assembled group.
“Data from our resultant skirmishing assault indicated mechanized squad level units at each Karbarren drop ship. Tactical analysis algorithms indicate that
this was an initial invasion deployment, designed to secure a terrain prior to
a full planetary assault. From damage
analysis and combat footage, the enemy, at least to a limited degree, has
unlocked some of the secrets of Protoculture.” From the gasps and shocked looks
of those Elders not disciplined enough to hide their emotions, the revelation
of this threat information would serve to have the desired effect.
“Overall combat efficiency of is troublesome to gauge. On
occasion several enemy groups displayed a level of ineptitude and disorganization rarely seen in combat forces. We believe this to be a ruse, a
feeble attempt to lure out forces into a trap.We therefor can not be certain of the effectiveness of our electronic
warfare and misinformation, a factor that I highlight my lords, only for
consideration of the enemy’s cunning.” Elder Titus was planning something, this conversation was leading
somewhere Gaius observed , though he was sure he was not going
to enjoy the destination. "Of note, we have discovered that the enemy detachment has a Zentraedi Officer within its ranks. Facial recognition confirms this to be one of our Warlord clones, for some reason he has deviated from his design indoctrination and sided with the enemy forces." Pausing for effect, it appeared to Gaius that Elder Titius was trying to manipulate the emotions of the senate. "The clone masters have informed me personally that, should we manage to capture this warlord, we can reprogram him, with minimal loss of retained knowledge. Failing that, they are highly confident that on rendering his body down to base constituents, we shall be able to unlock DNA/RNA sequencing required to successfully improve the efficiency of our own front line troops." Our esteemed Centurion Gaius , for his selfless actions in ensuring that the senate obtained tactical data, shall be the first to recieve the treatment.."
