Importing a .dnd4e file?

For the guys out there with a D&D Insider's account.... I'm wondering if you have found a nice way to import (or if there even is a smooth process to do this) a .dnd4e saved file from the Character Creator? Reason I'm asking is because I'm working with some younger kids in a campaign to introduce them to D&D, so it'd be nice to have a quick way to get these into our campaign... I've searched and came up with nothing, I'm looking at the save file and to me it just looks like a XML file of sorts so I'd imagine it IS possible...

This would need to be done using the API, and so far parsing the XML structure of the .dnd4e files has proven to be a full time job for the few people that have software (outside of Roll20) that imports it.

I would suggest taking the information that is generated by the character creator and transfering it to an online Mythweaver sheet. They can be updated as the game progresses, they have system specific character sheets, and can be made readable to the public, It's a great way to keep control of the PCs while at the same time easy for your players to reference during the game. <a href="http://www.myth-weavers.com" rel="nofollow">http://www.myth-weavers.com</a> Good luck with your game.
makes sense why I haven't found any results heh', thanks guys!
If you mean a way to use the .dnd4e file to creat some sort of sheet you can view anywhere, with link-access to the Compendium, try making an account and uploading the files to <a href="http://iplay4e.appspot.com/" rel="nofollow">http://iplay4e.appspot.com/</a>

Tried that, I think it's bugged or I'm just blind as hell (granted it is nice and early on a Sunday morning, LOL)... uploaded a Wilden I did a speed built on just to test it, view here melee basic, is 1d20+str (wilden has a 0mod to it, but we still add 1/2 level, so +4), yet iPlay4e says its 1d20+6 O-o, where the heck is it getting an extra +2 lol... Cancel that, figured it out, proficiency bonus with spears :) This website is neat! thanks!!
I think what he wants is to upload the character info to a Journal Character Sheet, probably complete with macros and whatnot. No standard Journal Character Sheet for D&D yet exists; in fact, you would have a hard time trying to trade character sheets between players. You can’t even trade sheets between players of the same campaign without the GM’s help.
iplay4e is bugged... they haven't updated their item/feat tables so they link to the wrong things in the Compendium. rpgwithme.com was a really good online character sheet for D&D 4e but they closed their site and are working on something different now.
Extending this request to other games... Is there a way to import an XML file into roll20, automatically converting it into a Journal entry with attributes, macros and all? I understand this is quite a task depending on the XML complexity. Nevertheless, does the API have the capacity in principle?

I don't mind doing a little bit of work, but when you're wanting to run a few campaigns at the same time to introduce new people to D&D creating the characters are nice and easy in the Character Creator, but pulling all the information (for say spells, feats and other things) is a royal pain in the ***
