NPCs set to Never Whisper Rolls

Although the Game Settings default is to Always Whisper Rolls, the NPCs in my Tomb of Annihillation game are all set to Never Whisper Rolls.  Is there a way to mass update all NPC characters to Always Whisper Rolls?  It does not appear that updating that Game Setting funcion affects items already in the Journal section.  Any help would be appreciated! 

There is a button in the Player Settings (located in the right-most tab of the Chat Window in game) that will Apply Default Settings (it towards the bottom under Experimental Features). Note that this button will also PCs as well as NPCs, so if the setting is not meant to affect PCs you will have to manually update the Character Settings for these entries. Fortunately there should be far fewer PCs than NPCs.
